Croissant Made with Rice Paper

Ingredients:

  • 12 pieces of rice paper
  • 2 chicken eggs
  • 100ml fresh milk
  • 1 piece of unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder

Instructions:

Crack 2 eggs into a bowl, add the remaining ingredients: milk, melted unsalted butter, cinnamon powder, sugar, and baking powder, and stir until dissolved.

Dip each piece of rice paper into the egg and milk mixture and arrange them on a plate. Each croissant will have 3 layers of rice paper. Stack 3 pieces on top of each other evenly and snugly. Cut the rice paper into 3 triangles and stack the two triangles on either side on top of the middle triangle, one vertically and one horizontally.

Then roll them up, pinching the two corners to create a croissant shape. Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Once finished, sprinkle a few grains of sugar on each croissant.

Place in an air fryer and bake at 170°C for 15 minutes. Then flip and bake for another 10 minutes. The finished product will be crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.
