Dimsum Made Is Rice Paper

Ingredients: 

  • Sheet & Color: Rice paper, various natural food colorings (beetroot juice, butterfly pea flower water, carrot juice).
  • Filling: Potatoes (boiled and mashed), minced meat (stir-fried with onions, seasoning, and pepper).
  • Decoration: White sesame seeds, chives (blanched briefly in boiling water to use as ties).

Instructions:

1. Making the filling

Mix the cooked minced meat with the mashed potatoes.

Shape the filling into small round balls.

2. Shaping the money bag

Dip the rice paper into the colored water to soften and color it.

Place the filling ball in the center, gather the edges of the rice paper upwards to form a money bag.

Dip the bottom of the money bag into the white sesame seeds, then use chives to tie it securely at the neck.

3. Steaming the dumplings

Arrange the dumplings in a steamer and steam for 3-5 minutes until the wrapper is soft and translucent.

Serve hot with chili sauce or soy sauce, whichever you prefer!
